I’d like to to talk about building an online local history collection of audio and video interviews, photos, written narratives, recipes, records, etc. What is doable when there’s lots of interest but no budget or time, tech resources and skills are limited, and people are geographically dispersed?

About:
I'm an MA Candidate a recent grad of the MA History program at the University of Windsor in Ontario, Canada. I used oral history to research childbirth as work on Pelee Island, Ontario, 1940-1960 as birthplace shifted from home to hospital. If THATCamp Columbus had been held at a warmer time of year (like when Lake Erie was less frozen) I could have taken the ferry from Ontario to Pelee to Sandusky instead of driving all the way around by land...
My current work: I'm trying to create ways to share (and grow) some local museum collections online but resources are limited - hence my topic here!
