About:
I am finishing up my dissertation in Modern European History at Michigan State University, while living in Cleveland where my wife is a resident at the Cleveland Clinic. While at Michigan State, I spent three years working at Matrix (our digital humanities research center), specializing in academic content management and interface design for a number of Matrix projects as well as several H-Net networks. As a graduate instructor, I have taught two completely online courses (one while doing research in Germany) and a methods seminar with a substantial online component (40% of the final course grade). I am also interested in the digitization of archival and other primary sources, both to improve access for my students as well as give researchers new ways to engage with texts.
